Do you have a heart for kids in the foster care system?

Emmanuel Bags are bags especially geared to kids who are whisked away from abusive or unsafe homes and placed into the foster care system, often with nothing but the clothes they are wearing. These bags will be filled with useful and comforting items for kids to hold onto as their own. In 2016, there were 7,482 kids in foster care in Wisconsin with most children enduring four foster placements before being adopted or aging out of the system. RVC will pack bags for kids on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 25 at 1:00 pm. Monetary donations as well as donations of items for bags will be collected until Friday, February 23.

Items needed include:

  • socks for kids and teens
  • brushes/combs
  • deodorant
  • feminine products
  • flexible zipper pencil cases
  • travel size lotions and shampoos
  • pens/pencils
  • coloring books and crayons
  • journals
  • stuffed animals (size of your palm)
  • stretchy gloves
  • books for children and young adults
