Michael’s Letter
Dear Members and Regular Attendees,
From the depth of my being, I believe our Heavenly Father has his people in our city of Oshkosh and beyond that He wants to bring to Himself in saving faith through us, RiverValley Church.
When I read God’s words to Paul about Corinth, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and be not silent, … for I have many in this city who are my people” (Acts 18:9-10) I claim for us that God has “many in this city” of Oshkosh.
When I also read how a lost person was so convicted from Corinth believers’ worship that “the secrets of his heart are disclosed… and so, he will worship God and declare that God is really among you” (1 Cor. 14:25), I want our corporate worship on Sunday mornings to be a place where those God has in our city experience in our worship how great and glorious God is!
That’s why on Sunday, September 19, 2010, for our fall Kick-off we will be expanding to two worship times. For seventy-five minutes we will offer identical worship experiences, one starting at 9:00am and the other beginning at 10:45am.
Would you join me by opening your heart to those far from the family of God that you know and then by opening our doors twice on Sunday with two services? Would you also ask God to show you those people in your sphere of influence that He wants to bring into His family through us and invite them to church this fall?
Then together we can celebrate with the angels above at those added to God’s family through us (Luke 15)!
Sincerely,
Pastor Michael Smith
